COVID Frontline Workers Honored With Scholarships

Lamorinda Sunrise Rotary Club, Ann Estelle Richter Memorial Scholarship and the Edith Grace Richter Scholarship, Honoring the Dedication and Bravery of the Front-line Nurses in the Fight Against COVID-19 are two (2) scholarships created to recognize outstanding nursing students at Merritt College.

Each scholarship awards two (2) second-year students $4,500 (each) to assist them with tuition, books, uniforms, state fees and state qualifying exams.  Due to delays caused by the pandemic, students completed their clinical trials and graduated on December 17th in the Merritt College Bobby Seale and Huey Newton Student Lounge.  Congratulations to the four (4) amazing students on a job well done and best wishes for continued success.  It is with great thanks to the PCF donors for helping make the Merritt College nursing students’ dreams a reality!
