The Foundation is proud to announce that this past November 2021, members of the Kapor Center’s Kapor Good Neighbor Committee established the “Kapor Scholarship” aimed to provide financial assistance to unhoused and/or undocumented students currently enrolled at one of the Peralta Colleges.
On Monday, December 6, 2021, the Peralta Colleges Foundation revived its annual golf tournament and this year titled the tournament after Peralta’s long serving retired board trustee Dr. William “Bill” Riley.
Owning the block brought together business owners, entrepreneurs, start-ups, venture capitalists, academicians and thought leaders for an intriguing visionary conversation on realizing power to build wealth in Oakland and beyond.

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Peralta Colleges Foundation has selected four students to receive the 2021 Oakland A’s Sports Management Endowed Scholarship Award. Sophia Butler (Laney College, Business Administration), Betselot Gulilat (College of Alameda, Business Administration), RJ Ishimaru (Berkeley City College, Business Administration), and Sabryna Sablan (Merritt College, General Business) will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to apply toward college tuition and expenses.
Two College of Alameda Automotive Technology (Atech) students, Yumeus (Missy) Taylor and Jorge Sandoval, were awarded Ozzie Day Scholarships this spring.

5% of all support for the Peralta Colleges through the PCF is allocated to unrestricted funds to be used to further the Foundation’s mission.
