Congratulations to Richard Nguyen, who was awarded the Ozzie Day Scholarship for Fall 2022 at an award ceremony on December 7th, 2022.

George Nakamura was a lifelong Bay Area resident, born in 1936 and passed away June 2019. He taught photography at Laney College from 1973-1993.
It’s our honor to establish the George Nakamura Memorial scholarship fund for future Laney College photography students in his name.
In loving memory from his six nephews and nieces: Mark, Eric, Sean, Lisa, David, and Judy.
