Thank you to all who attended our December Distinguished Leaders Lunch Session Fireside Chat with Michael Matthews, Public Policy Director with META (formerly known as Facebook). Excitedly, we announced our new partnership with META and specifically, the Meta Community Access Tech Pathways Scholarship to provide financial support to 25 students at Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College who have a focus in STEM, Digital Media, IT and Entrepreneurship. We had over 60 highly engaged attendees including Peralta students, PCCD board trustees, PCF board directors, PCCD staff and faculty, community members and elected officials. Three (3) lucky attendees won a pair of Southwest Airlines tickets courtesy of the Southwest Airlines Million Dollar Acts of Kindness campaign. Stay tuned to our next Distinguished Leaders session with Schnitzer Steel’s CEO Tamara Lundgren.
