Congratulations to the Oakland A’s Scholarship Spring 2022 Winners

The Oakland Athletics Community Fund established a $100,0000 endowment to the Peralta Colleges Foundation in 2018 to support scholarships for Peralta students. The Oakland As provides four $1,000 scholarships annually to students enrolled in a variety of disciplines, including Business; Digital Media and Communications; Information Technology; Hospitality/Retail; and Environment and Sustainability.

Congratulations to the 2022 Scholarship recipients.

I would like to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the Oakland Athletics Scholarship award.  In this pandemic situation,  financial help would be greatly appreciated as we all go through financial crisis. I will use my scholarship to buy books next spring semester and support my financial expenses. Hopefully, this scholarship will cover my personal expenses for following semester to soften my load not to worry, instead be able to focus on my study. Lastly, I would like to assure you that I will make worthy use of this scholarship.

"I am sincerely honored to have been selected as the recipient of the Oakland A's Sports Management Endowed Scholarship. I want to personally thank each one of you for helping make it possible for me to pursue my dream of transferring to the Haas School of Business. Thank you so much for your generosity, which has allowed me to afford summer classes and textbooks this summer at the University of California, Berkeley."

"I feel honored and grateful to be a recipient of the Oakland A's Sports Management Endowed Scholarship. This is a recognition of keeping dreams alive and an ignition for bigger dreams. A seed becomes a tree with plenty of fruits. Thank you for watering my seed."

"There is an overwhelming need in our society for advocacy and social action. I believe that using my communication skills and academic education to affect change will begin a domino effect of healing, saving lives, breaking the cycle of destitute souls, and inspiring others to make a difference. I want to be the voice for those who are underrepresented and underserved. I am very grateful to the Oakland As organization for honoring me with a scholarship that will enable me to continue to strive for academic excellence and to create change."
