PERALTA PROUD

Background

What are the classes like at Peralta?

The professors didn’t just teach the subjects. They connected classroom ideas to the real world around us. They inspired us to use our education to make the world a better place.

What makes Peralta special? By expressing our voice for change, we become that change.

Peralta Colleges taught me how to persevere. I learned how to work a full-time job, then study till three in the morning, then get up at seven that same morning and start over again.

What do you value most about your Peralta education?

The lessons I value most from Laney and Alameda are about the importance of remembering your roots, remembering to take that education that transforms you and give back to the community- and make it better for the next generation after you.
